venting

i'm just about going crazy waiting for spring to come. march teases us with warm rainy days and windy, bitter cold nights. i pretend it's warmer than it actually is and wear skirts to work only to freeze to death on my way home. i'm sick of wearing big ugly sweaters every day, and sick of complaining about it.

a collection of inspiring images:

jewelry designed by alphonse mucha, 1902. he is my favorite artist and biggest source of inspiration. i see something new every time i look at his work.

andy goldsworthy, who's life i emulate. everyone should see this film: working with time

william eggleston, my first favorite photographer, who i always thought i shared an eye with.

that will be it for now.

snow day!

it's been snowing all day i'm taking advantage of it!

i've always loved weather and how it can bring ordinary daily life to a screeching halt. which, i agree, is not good for business. but it does keep things interesting, especially in the dead of winter.

i've been sitting around in my pajamas, drinking way too much coffee, playing with my dogs, taking pictures around the apartment and even adding some new items to my etsy shop!

i've been making tons of new pieces lately, and i'm excited to add more drapery, unisex pieces, and new graphic design to my work! if only there were more hours in the day...

Swallow and the Swift at Kanibal Home

I just brought a bunch of my newest pieces to Kanibal Home in Jersey City. I really love this place, it has so much to offer. All items are hand-picked by owner Kristen Scalia; vintage furniture and home accessories, hand-made items from independent artists, gorgeous jewelry and great clothing in au c0urant styles! Not to mention Kanibal does art and craft classes, lectures, and parties! My favorite things at Kanibal are the creepy, found curiousities; vintage medical books, anatomical modeals, taxidermied animals and bug specimens! Swallow and the Swift really does fit right in!

Stay tuned! Soon to come: headbands, statement pieces and men's jewelry!
